Team Ingram Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Club is a proud member of the Southeastern Boxing Association (SEBA). We are an amatuer boxing club with clientele of male and female children ranging from 7 to 17 years old.Under the rules, regulations, and guidelines of USA Boxing, Team Ingram promotes healthy bodies and sharp minds through training in the art of boxing. Our coaching staff provides mentorship, physical training for the body, and mental focus for discpline of the mind. We help each child reach his potential because we know that the toughest fights in life are found outside the ring. Anyone can throw a punch, but how many can dodge an insult without reacting in a negative manner? Children ARE our future, and we as their caoches want each child to have the skill set needed to face the tough challenges in life. Its not an easy task; sometimes you have to break a child down to build him back up. We don't do this out of malice or becasue we are mean; rather, we do this because we love the children with the unconditional love that Jesus Christ has shown us. We only wish for every child to reach his potential by becoming well-mannered young men and women and then later blossoming into mentally tough young adults who are ready to face life's challenges.

So let me be clear, parents and gaurdians! When you bring your child to our gym, he or she now belongs in my care, and you must take a step back. When I have to be tough to get the child to listen, you cannot step in and hold your child or tell him or her it will be okay. That just negates the point that I am trying to teach. Not everyone in life is going to treat your child fairly or with kindness. Sometimes you have to learn to deal with the stress on your own rather than running to "Mommy". Our gym is NOT a daycare or playground! We are here to work hard, train hard, and study harder because a quick, sharp mind is essential to box your way out of any situtation - inside or outside the ring.

If your child is willing to put in the effort 100%, then my staff and I will give it our 100% too. Thank you for considering our gym as your choice to train your child. We look forward to seeing you!

 Introduction

Offical Photo

Greetings to you! I would like to personally welcome your child/children to the Team Ingram Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Club.

The Team Ingram Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Clubis a subsidiary program under the umbrella of the Lamont Ingram Developmental Organization for At-Risk Children which is a 501 (C)3 non-profit founded in 2008. Team Ingram Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Club was founded in August 2017 by Mr. Lamont Ingram, an amatuer and professional boxer with many achivements and awards.  Team Ingram Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Club program exists to provide structure, guidance, and mentorship to the youth in the community. Youth are taught discipline, respect, and sportsmanship, while exhibiting character and integrity as they mature and grow into respectable young men and women.

Mr. Lamont Ingram began boxing in 1995 at the age of 14 years old. Mr. Lamont Ingram's mother placed him in boxing classes as a way to channel his anger and find a better way to deal with all the trouble Mr. Ingram was finding his way into. The young Mr. Ingram wals always getting jumped on and bullied in school, stayed in trouble a lot, had a bad anger problem, and did not respect authority.

Mr. Ingram's amateur boxing coach was Rayford Collins (R.I.P), he was an awesome man and a surrogate father-figure to many youths in Jackson, Tennessee. Coach Collins showed Mr. Lamont Ingram how to be respectful and to never give up no matter how hard life was.  Mr. Lamont Ingram had a strong foundation because he had his mother, Mrs. Shirley Ingram, to ensure that Mr. Lamont Ingram made his way to the gym for practice, even if that meant sacrificing her own time and needs. Mrs. Shirley would work an exhausting 10 hours a day at Bruce Hardwood Floors and then take young Mr. Igram to boxing practice until he was able to get a car of his own at age of 18. The support of family and friends is essential in the development of a child's character. Even the most unruliest child needs the love and structure of a family.

In Mr. Lamont Ingram's 16 years boxing of boxing he only missed a year (if that, all together counted) because he was dedicated to the sport and performing well in the ring. Mr. Lamont Ingram ended his career in 2004 with a record of 58 wins, 10 loses, and 35 knockouts. He made history and won many awards, trophies and medals.
